Well, that stinks. So I suppose the only way to do it is with either a DVD player which decodes the AC3 stream onto 6 analog outs, such as the Toshiba SD-4800. The question now is, because of the shoddy bass management would it be better to derive the LFE data from the surrounds like in SR if you're just watching movies?
It would be nice if you could just pipe the AC3 stream from the dvd, out the serial port on your computer, and into the processor, all digital...dwah!
