Peter Jackson said that it was how he envisioned his film being shown (or something like that). Wonder if they will use DMR to make 70mm prints. I love the New Line description of itself at the end of the press release... "New Line Cinema is the oldest and most successful independent film company in the world..." and then it goes on to say "... Together with its subsidiary, Fine Line Features, New Line is a unit of Time Warner." What is the definition of independent these days? I regret never having seen a 70mm print of it. Hope it works out.
