One location we arrested a guy carrying subwoofer drivers to his car during lunch break. We had 10,000 feet of speaker wire stolen and found it 4 months later at a competitors project...it had our company name printed on the cable One circuit which we did over hundred cinemas, even with locked tool cases and a "tool boy", we factored $300.00 in lost tools per project. Audio racks near exit doors where usually a problem but nothing stolen due to front / rear rack rails and allen screws On a few projects we had an 70 year old security guard who after one vocal warning would shoot...never any problems  |  IP: Logged Andy Summers Master Film Handler Posts: 397 From: Bournemouth Dorset United kingdom Registered: Jun 2005 posted 10-20-2005 11:32 AM                 Richard’ Carrying a subwoofer, LOL sorry that’s damn funny, next there’ll be nicking the seating…. I guess for some the cinema experience is just too much for them, therefore they like to take something back home with them to cherish the moments…LOL.  |  IP: Logged Mike Babb Master Film Handler Posts: 250 From: Norwich UK Registered: Jul 2002 posted 10-20-2005 07:21 PM                        Good news from this end, the police caught the guy redhanded with the 5 CP650s, including the Touch Screen Controller for the new 2K DLP projector we found missing the next day. I don't know all the details and probably can't share them if I did but it appears the guy tried to sell them to a Dolby dealer, gave up his name and phone and serial numbers, the dealer thought it sounded fishy and called Dolby, and our serial numbers matched. The police tracked it down from there. As far as I know, it isn't anybody in the industry. That’s got to the silliest "TOOLS" walking on the face of the planet, what a total "TOOL…" Guess he’ll do 1 to 2 years in federal prison working in one of the shops for “Uncle Sam” for $1.50 cents a day…. What a “TOOL…” Plus he’ll be bending over for the soap more often than he’s ever done in his life, “Bugger me man…” his going to wishing now nicking 5x Dolby CP-650 wasn’t worth the hassle and getting sent down and Buggered twice a day up the ass, just simply isn’t worth the pain that he’s going to saver for the next few years…. The bumper of their truck fell off in the attempt and they drove away. Leaving their license plate and bumper chained to the ATM.
