I didn't mention China to be racist. I mentioned the nation because it is the top market in the world for both piracy and moving stolen goods. If your car gets stolen there is a very good chance it will get put on a ship and sent to the Far East -either whole or disassembled into lots of spare parts. It's more difficult to move stolen property within the United States. Our border and port security make it easy to send the stuff elsewhere.

Except down in Southern California where there is a good chance it will end up going south of the border. Incidentally, the California Highway Patrol has a liaison with Mexican authorities to help recover stolen vehicles driven in to Mexico. The liaison also covers other crimes, so if the stolen CP650s had ended up in TJ, it's possible the CHP liaison could have been involved.

When I worked at UPS, they caught a major theft ring that involved an employee. One of the unloaders was coming to work with a pocket full of new address labels. As he unloaded the trucks, he would rip off the old labels and stick on the new one. The new label directed the boxes to a friends house, who then sold the stuff. I guess the driver must have tipped off police for the same reason and they were caught. Not too bad an idea if you really think about it, though they got too greedy and should have had the stuff shipped to someplace besides their home. [Roll Eyes]

Like stolen cars from Bangor Maine are sent all the way to the west coast to get loadef on ships(in secret).... Now come on Bobby thats the most rediclous thing I've ever read here.... Actually its far more likely to end up at "Pick N Pull". What really happens to stoles vehicles all depends on where you live.... Don't you ever watch those TV reality police shows.....

in the city i was in, 99% of the cars were taxis, all VW Jettas. The upper class people all drove Audi A4's or 6's. i saw 1 old cadillac, 1 H2, and one old Lincoln Limo. Didnt see any Vettes, I am thinking of exporting mine there though, how cool would that be? [beer]
