Jerry, if I´m not mistaken the Vic 5 you replaced had the old straight gate? With the new curved gate I´m sure you would not have seen any big difference. A Kinoton, and possibly also an Ernemann, is perhaps still a better choice.
As for image quality, my print of the DaVinci Code is fairly good, and I can get a decent focus. However, the attached trailers, printed in Sweden, are razor sharp from edge to edge, and stands rock steady on the screen - with a Vic 5. I really whish all prints would look like that!
