Author Topic: Running flat trailers on scope Jean-Pierre Van Hoof Film Handler Posts: 21 From: Enschede, Ov, Netherlands Registered: Dec 2003 posted 06-26-2006 04:25 PM                        Here in Europe the trend is putting a flat trailer in a scope format.......BAH!!! Most of the older European theatres have the boot above the center of the screen and when your automation sets the masking and aperture to scope it looks very bad. I am working on an FP20 with a manual lens change (no turret). Trained to do lens changes and now after a short time quite happy to do in 10 secs. Can't see why there is an issue here - surely projecting in the right format has to be a priority. Our masking takes about 5 secs to go from 1.85 to 2.35 so the audience only have to wait for 5 secs with nothing happening. Presentation is key :-)  |  IP: Logged
