I believe this condition is supposed to be fixed with version 2 of the software. Note, the same thing can happen on the Dolby CP500, CP650 and DMA-8. On the CP500, make sure you are on firmware 1.31 or 1.65...on the CP650 make sure you are on firmware 2 and later. The DMA-8 1.3.1.1 is the most stable though there is version 2 now out. Then the OS changes the display. So basically almost anything could be wrong. A settings save and re-load feature has also been added plu some stuff for CSS sub-titling I've already done a few and expect about a 40 min. time to upgrade. Its a whole new O.S. that goes in. At this point the other discs are not going to do you any good. Although your XD10 is stuck in initialization, you should still be able to open a drive and insert this disc. Once the disc has been inserted, close the drive and power cycle the XD10. This will reload your operating system. If this is successful,in most cases it is, you will have to reset your settings like Timecode offset, etc. On a normal update with the other discs you have the ability to save these settings.
