They were SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK and KILLING ME SOFTLY. As THE MASTER was 70mm 1.85 these trailers were letterboxed to 2.39 within the 1.85 frame. I know of two that were promotions for the Todd-AO 70 mm film process. One of them was shown with OKLAHOMA. I never saw it because Honolulu did not get 70mm until SOUTH PACIFIC opened.. OKLAHOMA had a overture and I am curious how they managed to show the promo Todd-AO short. I would have to assume the curtains closed at the end of the short and the house light turned up a bitt when the overture played. -Claude  |  IP: Logged
