If you can get the XL (PR-1014) cheap I would. If anything breaks on your E7 you're in trouble - parts are scarce to unobtainable. It will mount on your soundhead OK although you might need some drive components (gear(s) and idler unit?)
I've used the Kinoton side-by-side unit and it works fine.

Here's a tower thats used for makeup,rewind and film cleaning. Note the kelmar arm mounted so you can break down and makup on the tower.
