I was at Costco today, and they have a Samsung 1080p HD tv for $3499, they were showing Batman begins on dvd on the tv, and the DVD player showed it as being upscaled to 1080i. Anyhoo, I wasn't impressed with it at all, the characters would stutter as they moved, like in slow motion almost. Also, it had a look to it that reminded me of watching regular defition tv on a digital tv, just sort of smeary or something. Was this the fault of the dvd player, the DVD or the TV not being set up right? Just curious as I thought 1080p was "all that". And yes I know I was watching a SD dvd on it.
