Burn Notice has gotten a little stale in my opinion. It seems to be the same formula over and over. It starts out with him working on finding out who burned him, then a needy citizen contacts him and requests his help. He saves the citizen, beats the bad guy, then returns to work on who burned him...EVERY EPISODE. Even though the girlfriend thing was obvious from the moment she was introduced, that's no worse than any other TV show. It's pretty obvious that GM has purchased rights to the vehicles, as every vehicle shown was a GM product. No sign of Danno's Mustang at all. I'm a firm believer in cars matching the personality of the driver, and Kona doesn't seem like the type to drive a Chevy Cruze... Where's she going to put her surfboard?  |  IP: Logged Claude S. Based on some of the comments here and elsewhere, it looks like the show is doing very well and if the public still continue to watch and enjoy the program, HAWAII FIVE-0 will be back again next season. If people still like the show at that time, it will be a hit and hopefully will be around for many years like the original series. My family lived in Hawaii in the late 1960s while my dad worked in Honolulu for four-and-a-half years. Unfortunately, I was very young and, while my earliest memories are from Hawaii, there just aren't enough of them. Ayakawa Film God Posts: 2738 From: Waipahu, Hawaii, USA Registered: Aug 2002 posted 10-05-2010 01:50 AM                        Greg, I had an opportunity to go to the windward side of the island of Oahu to do a photo shoot this past Saturday and I took the H-3 freeway and the view of the mountains as I approached the tunnel was gorgeous but when I drove through it, the view of the windward side of Oahu is breathtaking. Yes, Oahu as well as the other islands of Hawaii are precious and as I had mentioned earlier, I consider myself very fortunate to have been born and lived my entire life in Hawaii and will spend the rest of my life here. -Claude  |  IP: Logged David Stambaugh Film God Posts: 4021 From: Eugene, Oregon Registered: Jan 2002 posted 10-05-2010 11:11 AM                        The HD picture quality for the show was pathetic whenever there was any fast motion in the image. Pixelated to hell with occasional random blocks appearing like some kind of crap code. Very starved for bandwidth. The cable company does an analog conversion for our old set. It is unlikely to be the CBS feed, more likely either your CBS affiliate or your cable/satellite provider. Does your CBS affiliate have lots of digital sub channels?. If so, they stealing bandwidth from their main channel. WCBS in New York City has NO digital sub channels, and they broadcast a stunning 1080i picture, both over the air and via cablevision. My suspicion, however, is that it is your cable company that is over compressing the signal to compensate for their limited copper wire bandwidth.  |  IP: Logged
