Wonder if Disney is going to want all those prints back? Although not to many locations can still run 15/70. I still would love the chance to run it at my theater. Believe it or not, my MPX still runs great and I bet it would look great on my screen. I don't think the science museum have any digital capabilities. Especially if there are no IMAX scenes? - $26 for a 15/70 presentation? Why? Is IMAX film stock that hard to come by now? As much as I love 15/70, I don't get why not just show a 2D Laser presentation? I've seen IMAX footage from Batman vs Superman laser projected at this theater and it was stunning!! A 1570 release benefits the Imax DOME or OMNIMAX screens. No lasers for them yet. This would be the first time I've heard of Laser being displaced by film. Perhaps it's a warmup for Dunkirk, perhaps it's a gutsy "prestige" move to see if "film" sells, I don't know. In any case, Aron and Jeffrey, like most things Imax, it doesn't necessarily make a lot of sense. At least IMDB claims a 4K DI. And Aron, so far mentions only scope for AR.  |  IP: Logged
