Author Topic: Digital Screen Network Problems Scott Jentsch Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1061 From: New Berlin, WI, USA Registered: Apr 2003 posted 12-08-2008 08:06 AM                        How did those 55 year old projectors fare in the first couple of years of their implementation? Were they new technology for the theater at the time? Did the projectors have any kinks in them that were ironed out by the time you started using them 33 years later? The company that operated this theatre from '32 till '84 left a detailed service record and there is nothing to indicate a lost show due to failure of the present equipment. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I believe digital cinema is at the developmental point that film projection was in 1911, in that equipment failures while not every day ocurances do happen a lot more than they should.  |  IP: Logged Todd McCracken Master Film Handler Posts: 263 From: Northridge, CA, USA Registered: Mar 2008 posted 12-09-2008 11:39 AM                    Well it was anounced that Quvis is closing its doors.
