I wouldn't worry too much about it... no one spells my name correctly either, Gulbrandson, Gulbransen, etc. etc. . Next year I'm changing it to Smith, you should change your's to Bob!

Here's a couple to whet the appetite. Both variations on the Kinoton DCP30.

DCP30, Dolby server & DFC100 3D controller, our own automation interface, slide out keyboard and arm mounted LCD monitor. Sound is in a stand alone rack, although there is plenty of room in the pedestal if needs be.

DCP30SX with our own custom made rail system for the FP23 above. This allows the 35mm mech to be easily slid out of the way so the DCP can be serviced without too much back ache. Out of shot to the right is the sound rack and server rack.

Demetris, Kinoton DCP projectors do not use Irem rectifiers, they use Kinotons own KEX series SMPSU. You can see two under the platter in the lower shot. One is for the 35mm, the other for the DCP.

Mark, the construction of the DCP range is similar to the 35mm Kinoton projectors, probably most similar to the FP50 console machines. Solid and heavy, with the guts easily accesible. No need for eyes on the ends of your very long thin fingers!

We've done some DCP70 which are the big brother in the range, and another DCP30SX of interest, it's in a centuries old oak framed market hall, installation involved demolishing and rebuilding a spiral staircase!

Guys, It's the guts I want to see... If thats where the big difference lies... Outside looks just like any other D-Ciname projector with shades of BARCO...

The other aspect I object to is the sealed light engine. There absolutely is no real need for that dramatically added expense. Christie and NEC have both prooved that over the last several years. Well, If you want to build a multiples near a Steel Mill then you might need it.

Mark you need to give me two weeks to give you the insides. Pete congrats on your 1001 post and you are correct about Kinotons' rectifiers. I forgot about that. Mark the sealed engine actually makes everything look neater and how often have you had an engine break?

Brendan are you always this clever or are you playing the smart-ass of the forum! I don't have to explain to either you or anyone else for this matter why I need two weeks to get the pictures. He's just teasing you Demetris! Actually, it was pretty funny and to be honest it takes about 5 days just to get inside the Christie light engine anyway. And don't drop one of those screws down inside the light engine compartment... you have to turn the CP-2000 over to shake it out... [Confused]

. Thats pretty difficult and the screws are all stainless and so are non-magnetic!
