One of the screening rooms I work at has an NEC 2000C projector, and Dolby DSS-200 serverthingy running 4.3.5 (13) and Show Manager Vers 4.3.3.7-g
>I'm getting red tail lights on the NEC and "WARNING: Security Log" on the LCD
I know I've got to clear out the security log in the DSS-200, and I've done it before, but not at this location.
The procedure I have in my notes, matches the steps shown in This Thread ..and which I've copied here: Exit show manager (ctrl+alt+F2) Log in as administrator type the password type ls scripts type ./getAllProjectorLogs.sh localhost If the server tells you to take a long lunch you´re on the right way. Press alt+F8 to go back to show manager. Go to Control tab to follow the progress
But when I do the "./getAllProjectorLogs.sh localchost" the server returns a "command not found" line.
I've also tried this procedure, which differs only on "cd scripts" line: **NOTE** All commands from this point on are Case Sensitive Username: administrator Password: <Insert Password Here > Type: cd scripts/, hit Enter Type: ./getAllProjectorLogs.sh localhost, [hit ENTER]
with the same results.
Two questions: 1) What, if anything, am I doing wrong? 2) I know the projector will "gag" and not let me play encrypted content once the log-thing is full. Any idea how long I"ve got?
>>>>>EDIT<<<<<<< I think I may have found part of the answer further back in the thread I referenced. In one post it says: "You will need Dolby ver. 4.7.x.x or later to clear the logs."
Oh No! So how do I clear them if they've only got 4.3.5.3?
There's a full weekend of rentals & screenings ahead and I'd hate to see them go down. (Even though I'm not working elsewhere till next week)

If this machine needs to stay at 4.3.5, is there a way you could borrow another server to download the logs? I'd say, find the software version of that projector, as Dave says, and make sure it get's an updated enigma software. After that, you should be fine with 4.3.5 (for a while). Staying with 4.3.5 may be okay, but they absolutely must get rid of the broken enigma firmware. The NEC should be at least on 4.214 (Enigma 1.8), so, fire up DCC S2 and check.

This is the error message on the NC-2000c LCD panel: It just keeps scrolling. There's no additional info or "error code" Just this message & flashing red tail-lights.

Unfortunately, last night I had my Mac with me, and not my old Dell laptop with the DCC program on it. Also, the projector at this location is not networked to the outside world in any way, so I can't get into it and access it from home to check either.
I was able to get all the projector software version info off of the LCD panel, but I don't have that paper in front of me at the moment.
Long story short: I convinced them that both the NEC projector and the Dolbyserverthingy were in serious need of some upgrades. This venue has a service contract, so we've got a call into them and I'm waiting for someone to get back to me as to when they can schedule a visit.
For now, they're not 'down' but I don't know how long they've got till the system chokes on a full log. Fortunately, I've only got two encrypted shows tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday shouldn't be a problem since I think the room is being used all day for a Super Bowl viewing party.
