Gosh Bruce, Carl's Jr.? YUK! Tell ya what, we can go to the world-famous Pink's Hot Dog stand. The place with the outdoor patio where the sparrows land on your table, walk right up to your food on the plate, take a bite of it, and fly off!

OBTW: I'll buy! Lunch for us should run about 8 bux. It's worth it just to see the size of them thar bird-balls. [Big Grin]

For Bruce, Carl's Jr? When you're in LA? Oh pulleeeeze! [Big Grin]

Since it looks like you and Phil are really planning to splurge on your upcoming expense account funded industry power luncheon, might I suggest:
  • The original Tommy's (213-389-9060, great tamale/cheese/grease burgers)
  • Tito's Tacos (310-391-5780)
  • Philippe's (213-628-3781, home of the original French Dip sandwich)
in addition to the aforementioned and esteemed
  • Pink's (323-931-4223)
to make a most rarified list? Ah, the best in fine LA sidewalk dining (except for Philippe's which is fine LA indoor dining, sawdust-covered slab floor and all). I can feel my arteries hardening just thinking about it. [thumbsup]
For Kamakshipalya, I've personally seen Jerry in all of these places over the years--you can probably call any of them around lunch or dinner time and have him paged... [Big Grin]

Pinks has been part of my 30 year study on the feather and brain damage exhibited by generations of sparrows who eat bits of chili dogs left in the patio [Wink] Hell with the arteries when your digestive tract is burning four hours later.
