It will be a vast wasteland in the ticket line for at least a month. "Off season" is called "mud season" here. Not as many "discount" theatres here as Portland. The new Century in Des Moines cuts off matinees at 2:30 or something on weekends. It has been this way ever since I can remember. The Loews Metreon in SF only has the 10am shows at bargain matinee prices on the weekends.
