Leaving Sarah Marshall is getting pretty good reviews.
Not to be an ass or anything but it's Forgetting Sarah Marshall and from what I've seen of the movie it seems pretty funny.

I just read a review of "Speed Racer" over at aintitcoolnews.com.

Typically those geeks posting on there are dead on with their reviews. I think this is because I am somewhat of a geek and I tend to agree with them. ANYWAYS:

The word on the street is that this movie is AWESOME. MINDBLOWING was a word used. He also said that they should be called the WOW!-chowski Brothers after this movie comes out.

107 screens for the IMAX release.

Hmm. could be interesting. [Big Grin]

With 128 minutes of running time they could be shooting themselves in the foot. But, I wouldn't under estimate anything.

It really doesn't appeal to me. I don't think it will do very well. I do have a few private shows booked and that is only because it will be the only movie that schools can bring their classes to.

Industry observers are predicting Speed Racer will open in the number 2 slot behind Iron Man in it's second week.

A handful of early reviews have been linked at Rotten Tomatoes. With 8 reviews posted so far the movie is currently running at 38%.

Hopefully that number will move upward in a positive direction significantly.

Oh my god... I forgot about Lancelot Link: Secret Chimp! That was the coolest!!! [Smile]

I was big into Speed Racer as well when I was a kid, and then later on as an adult saw it again and realized that it was just crappy early anime... but it was awesome when I was little.

$65 million first weekend.

Mike

I just found out the running time. I think that will definitely hurt the movie.

Moviewise I predict strong suck potential...but regardless it's sure going to look pretty! [Cool]

After watching this on Saturday morning, I have to say this will make about 40-60 mil and will still come in second to Iron Man. It was just not that good and way to long. Kids can't sit for 2 and half hours.

Bust without question. It looks god awful. Narnia, however, will sadly do tons of money.
