Whenever I call Tech, nice clear connection. All calls to Deluxe the connection sounds like something they bought out of the back of someone's car in the 80's. I called about a delivery. Worked through the phone tree. When I got to someone there was so much static I had to just hang up and call back. Called back, static not quite as bad, but it sounded like the person on the other end was taking a shower during a rainstorm in a stall with a tin roof. Used to be, you could just zip off the bottom strip with a fingernail, then peel off the original label easily in one piece. On the last few, the original label is getting harder and harder to remove, with today's being impossible to get through the zip strip in one piece, and the top label being glued down to the point I had to scrape it off in about 10 tiny pieces. What did they do, go to a cheaper label vendor? I have had several instances lately where I almost scraped off both stickers. In some cases I only managed to get the bar code uncovered, figuring that would be sufficient, only to find the cases still sitting on the floor. Then, of course, would come the e-mails asking why we didn't send the darn things back. I happened to be around when the UPS person came by one day recently when I had about four cases ready to go out. He took a look at them and asked where he was supposed to send them; I didn't have the return address showing on the top of all of them. Apparently the bar code is not enough, he needed the return shipping address visible. One of the cases did have the address where it was legible, so I asked him to send them all to the same place. So, yeah, that E-Z Return label is anything but. They should just go back to putting the outgoing labels in the case like they used to. They'd been much better, as of the past few months, but several have been tough to separate and I managed to shred my first one this week. I'm also getting more of the boxes without the zip-ties for returns. I too have noticed that those "EZ-Return" labels have have been anything but easy to peel off lately.
