Not all wines improve with age. Those that do have an upper limit of age. It requires constant monitoring of the aging potential of wines to determine at which stage of maturity they are at at any given time. This monitoring can only be done by actually tasting the wines. The results of these wine tastings are closely followed by the wine press, and in turn by the wine investors, who use the data collected to determine in their own minds, the relative value of the wine. The most important way to tell if your wine is ready to drink, is to taste a bottle. This seeming paradox is one of the best reasons to buy wine by the case. This basically means, that you would end up spending more than 10.00 in the long run, because in 50 years when that bottle is opened for its 'taste test'... you'd better have more on hand to sell, if it has improved and is worth lots of money... Buy about 5 bottles and store them, do your first taste test in about 10 years, you would be able to tell a difference from its original bottling taste by that amount of time. That is IF you can remember in 10 years what it tasted like. I have a hard time remembering yesterday, let alone what something tasted like 10 years ago. If it doesn't taste any different, just sit back and continue to drink. It is a title in Spain (Don/Dona) and Italy (Don/Donna) descending from Latin "dominus," master, lord. For example,if a mafia boss was named Joe Ravioli he would be Don Ravioli.It is also cognate with French/British/Portuguese Dom/Dame and British Dan (judge). Here's one personal experience we came across when looking for the answer: "I tried the lemon juice thing for my freckles, because they became extremely dark from the tanning bed... I've been applying it twice a day for three days now and there almost gone.. At night I leave the lemon juice on my face and wash it off in the morning,, My face is silky smooth .. so no worry on drying it out.... It also is helping clear away the black heads that were on my nose and shrinking my pores on my face.. I tried using facial fade creams to get rid of my freckles before, all they really did was make me look ghost white.. with the lemon juice its just clearing the freckles , but leaving the tan on my face.. It's healthier not to eat a big piece of dessert at all, of course. But otherwise it would be nominally "healthier" to eat small pieces gradually over the course of the day, as this would spread out the impact on your blood sugar. You DO NOT want to pop it. Clean with a mild soap and warm water up to three times a day starting as soon as you know it's on its way. The bacteria is what is causing it to rise. They have the POTENTIAL to interfere with navigation /communication systems as they operate on a close frequency /wavelength. Once, my captain could clearly hear a woman in back talking to a friend over his headset! In fact, the woman's name was used in the conversation and he had to ask "Barbara" to please discontinue use of her phone for departure over the PA. A sty is also called a hordeolum. It is a pimple caused by skin germs that infect the tunnel through which the eyelashes emerge. A sty is usually tender and eventually develops a pointy white head before it bursts. They can be quite tender and irritating. A moist, hot compress will speed resolution. Antibiotics are not necessary. The sty has to drain, whether on its own or with a doctor's help. Sometimes it can grow so large that surgical drainage is advised. Bears do get stung, but they can hold on until they get the sweet reward. In practice, beers that are quite strong (say over 7.5% alcohol by volume), which are made with 100% malted barley and have high hop content can age remarkably well over up to twenty years. Much mass-produced beer is far from 100% malted barley and has very little hopping. It is true that this may struggle to stay good beyond six months. Beers that have clearly turned within six months are usually infected or badly made. The idea however that beer is best drunk "fresh" is erroneous. As with any living product, a bit of maturity should add to the character of the beer. Sadly many modern beers are not living products and the way they are on the day they leave the brewery gates are as good as they are going to get. Here's a personal experience we came across while looking for the answer: "... I found a six pack of Anchor Steam Beer in the walls of an old house that was torn down. It was at least sixty years old , maybe older. (glass bottles) One of the occupants in the house drank it ( About a $1000 drink) It was just fine... During their "aging" process in the bottle wines gain a series of different and precious characters, mainly bouquet (smell) and taste (meaning the way your palate and tongue react to it). Well, the longer time in the bottle the less they need to "breathe". In this case breathe means not more than oxidation. Oxidation, as you probably know, is the the addition of oxygen to a compound with a loss of electrons. This process is generated differently (slowly) inside of the bottle, but it occurs, so the "Younger" the wine the more breathing it needs. For a very young wine, you can open the bottle many hours before your dining, for an "old" wine can be only a hour or maybe less. In fact if a very old wine breathes too long it will probably collapse (chemically-wise) losing all its properties. It's also important to know, that in some cases, breathing is not good enough. You also have to decant the wine, this means pouring the whole bottle to a jug or jar. The agitation summed to the aeration (or breathing) will release previously closed aromas and "open" more flavors. Again "decanting" is more important in young wines. Finally, red wines are usually the ones that need breathing. Salud !! It depends on your policy. Usually, it is, but on a limited basis. For example, the basic policy may cover up to $100 for CDs or a cell phone. Sometimes, these items are not covered at all. Some insurance companies pay for those items from the personal property portion of your property policy (homeowner's or renter's insurance for example). Extra coverage is available for an additional charge on some policies for specific items like non-factory car stereos, cell phones, CDs, etc. Best bet is to remove those items form the car to keep thieves from being tempted to break in to begin with. Check with your insurance company or read your policy to find out if/and up to what limit these items are covered.  |  IP: Logged
