Paul, there's only Tech, General, and Extra now. No more new Novice or Advanced-class tickets, but existing licensees can continue to renew them - and retain their privileges.
And, after the 23rd of this month, there will no longer be a Morse code requirement (it had already been dropped to 5wpm for all classes several years ago, when the Novice and Advanced-class licenses were dropped). quote: ** N7FJF 05/23/99 **
Humm... if you get re-licensed, your old call is still available. You can get it back, if you want, under the vanity call sign program.
