Scary Movie was a hilarious comedy. How could anyone say it was terrible? The audiences I saw the movie with (several times) all through it was hilarious as well. Scary Movie 2 was not as funny as Scary Movie, but it was funny. If a comedy makes me laught a lot, I cannot call it a bad movie.

Even though I have the poster cause I think it's funny looking, I'll have to say "Pootie Tang". In fact I had to watch it twice after we received a second print due to our contract.
Second would have to be "Angel Eyes", just sat in the theater and played games on my PDA, looked up every couple of minutes to see if it was in frame.
And third would have to be "Recess: School's Out". Granted the credits/video of the kids singing "Green Tambourine" was funny, I didn't enjoy staying late to watch it.
I would prolly have another first, but thankfully a fellow manager sat in for me on "Return to Secret Garden". I owed him BIG after that.

Little Nicky was terrible, but I stayed til the end. Last week I walked out of Orange County. I thought the storyline was almost as bad as the acting.

I walked out of "Zardoz" even though I got in for free. I should have asked to be "refunded" the ticket price anyway for pain and suffering.

I've seen many of the films listed above, and while they are bad I still feel "Quintet" is about the worst. I was screening it (so I was getting paid) so I had to watch. Closed in only a week.

The most people I've ever seen walk out of a film was "Interiors." The film itself wasn't so bad; it was just that people were expecting a Woody Allen comedy (even though the posters, reviews and trailers made it clear it wasn't.) I ran it for 400 people on it's first Saturday night... when it was over, only 30 people remained.

What kind of crack-smoking booker booked you with 2 prints of POOTIE TANG??? And an even better question: does he still work for the company?

Anyways, just 2 weeks ago, I had to screen the utterly horrendous "Extreme Days." Talk about a load of crap (it looks like it was shot on home video).

In the last six years I have only walked out on one movie "Never Been Kissed" it should of been titled (spoilers ahead

)"I would rather drink a gallon of warm Crisco and have flaming balls of shit for the next few days" sorry for the nastieness but my GOD!!!!

Not bad,not vulgar or in bad taste but MSQ (Maximum Snore Quotient )rating goes to a double bill we once ran in about 1984.

Conversations with Willard Van Dyke (1981) coupled with Eadweard Muybridge, Zoopraxographer (1974) both in glorious 16mm shown on our IMAX screen !!

Any movie with a borderline R rating to get teens money

Rant mode off.

Speaking of another thread elsewhere...I yearn for more of the showmanship days of roadshows. Something special. If we can't have that, give the days of the late 70's and early 80's when there used be lines around the building. I love movies but the magic is fading. Good or bad, I am waiting for Episode II. At least it will have even a little of this magic. Hollywood is not making any movies that have people waiting anxiously anymore. There doesn't seem to be anymore anticipation. I know Hollywood has always made crud, but the only buzz or anticipation I remember in the last 5 years was Ep.I and ID4. Both were not great, but at least there was some magic there.

I may be the only one here to admit it, but Moulin Rouge really and truly, sucked. It sucked coal and spit diamonds. (sucks hard!) Every time I ran it at least half the crowd walked out. Never had to tell so many folks too bad, so sad. No refunds. What a terrible, terrible movie.

Mike,

The reason we received a second print of Pootie Tang was that during the second week of the movie our bookings split our original first print with another film in an auditorium. We soon later received our second print because of the contract stating that we needed to play Pootie Tang an X amount of hours. It was a horrible experience and thus it is added to this thread . I am however a big believer in Karma and am sure that booker is lying in a ditch somewhere...
And I have also screened "Extreme Days". I have forgotten about that horrendous movie and now am adding it to my list. I guess it was so bad that it drove itself from my memory.

I don't believe in walking out of movies, just because there might be SOMETHING of value somewhere in there- when I work at a theater I always like to KNOW what I'm running, besides that. After the opening of "Vertical Limit" though, I thought to myself "If I were the sort of person who walked out of movies, I'd walk out right now!"

Moulan Rouge? No way, just the imagination behind that production alone gives it merit.

Vertical Limit? Okay, I wrote a paper for my chemistry class about the rediculous use of liquid nitrogen in that movie. The acting was definately sub-par, but the scenery and the subject of climbing K2 was interesting, and sometimes breathtaking.

I hated the idea of Glitter so much, I refuse to see it. Our theater didn't even book it, thank God.

There are others, but I can't remember them, which is probably a good thing
