But Fat is not synonymous with Phat. Fat means fat, phat means cool, or something like that.

Slangwise, fat means stupid and phat means cool. So I guess to distinguish between an insult and a compliment (besides the tone of voice the line is delivered in), you could say "You are so fucking fat!" for the insult and "You are so phuggin phat!" for the compliment.

Phug the phuggin phuggers!
