We have mobile 'phone birds and car alarm birds, too...I'm far more of a morning person than an evening person - out of choice I sleep from around 2200-0500. The thing I hated most about working in cinemas was having to stay up until 2am when there were late shows on, especially in the summer since I can't sleep at all if there's any daylight around. My other morning pet hate is moron drivers. They think that because there is not much traffic they have the right to behave like psychos. One of them put a smile on my face earlier this year, though. On the way to work I was tailgated by a t**t in a BMW for about three miles (whom I observed in my mirror with one hand on the steering wheel and the other clamping a mobile 'phone to her left ear), and when I slowed down to go through a village she decided that speed limits didn't apply to her and pulled out to overtake me. She failed to notice a lorry starting to turn right out of a side road... and bang went her no-claims bonus! This was at 6.30am on a January morning, in pitch black with thick freezing fog covering the Vale of York, and there was condensation all over the windows of her car. Judging by a bruise on her forehead when she got out of the car, I strongly suspect that the driver was not wearing a seat belt. Some people are determined to kill themselves; I just wish they wouldn't try to take me with them!
