If you're going to numerically specify the bytes, then you need to put the null character in yourself, don't you? (Don't know -- haven't done it that way.) If you wind up with a string without a null on the end, then you may crash your program next time you try to manipulate it since the manipulation function will go past the end of the array looking for a 0 byte.  |  IP: Logged Charles Everett Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1470 From: New Jersey Registered: May 2001 posted 01-02-2004 06:01 PM                     LOL and other abbreviated 'e-mail speak' have made the list of Banished Words for 2004.
