Phil

Easy now: Sit down, pardener, and have some birdy num-num. Fred Clutterbuck and Charlie Divott are no longer producer or director of Hollywood Films - Who has ever seen their names since the bubbles went of The Party.
Bakshi will have no trouble doing a comeback - even if now, his wrist watch is to oldfashioned...

Sam: Per, myself and others are referring to the film "The Party" when we speak of Mr Hrundi W Bakshi...he's the bumbling actor that blew up the set on the last day of filming...ummm, before the director rolled film! [Big Grin]

I actually thought you were refering to Ralph Bakshi.
Maybe I missed that somewhere.

RALPH Bakshi is a covername for Bob Maar, great animator and father of Hrundi, who we know better as Phil (who has an indian mother). The fact, that Phil is Benny's twin, explains, why Benny is a caricature.

Young Mr Bakshi (= Phil) is a well-known artist in the rear art of emptying a whole roll of toiletpaper in one movement.

For further presentation, please contact Mr Blake Edwards, who was leading birth-controller, delivering the twins. And then not one word about Twin Peaks !

All clear now, Yes ??

Compliment your date. But you have to be careful on what you say. As an example, don't compliment her on "how big of teeth she has."

She might eat you. [Big Grin]

And, if she is a little plump, don't say "for a fat hog, you don't really sweat so bad..."

You gotta have a little "class."

Remember, beauty is only skin deep. Ugly is clear to the bone. If a girl dates an ugly guy, she says, "he has class." If guy dates an ugly girl, others would say, "If the Lord saw her, there would be another commandment."

All joking aside, just be yourself. Treat your date with respect and honor, but don't over-do it. [Wink]

Actually the original script named the part Hrundi W. Bakshi, but due to an error it was changed to "V" and all dialog that said his name was dubbed over with the "V". My post is an inside joke... [Razz]

I hate first dates. I used to go through the entire dog and pony show of "impressing" people... but then it just got tiring. I figure if my date can't go with the flow of "whatever happens" then are they really creative and witty enough to keep my attention past the first date anyway?

Usually drinks at some place with good atmosphere and then a movie if that's where the night goes. If the drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) go well then you can spend the whole night talking, go walking around town if you want and then if things are going REALLY well you can stop walkin and start screwin!

No... wait... I'm a wholesome boy... I don't do that on first dates. [Roll Eyes]

Don't forget the other person is feeling much of the same things you are feeling and wondering about. It's a 2-way street...it is ALWAYS best if both people are just themselves.

Two "plastic" people will have as much fun as to "real" people. It's the match that counts...

OBTW Paul: In your above post, it works not only for your assumption of male-female dates, but also male-male and female-female dates as well. [Wink]

Yes, Phil. You are absolutely correct, and it applies to friendships as well.

If someone treats a person like shit, the person who is treating another that way can expect to be treated like shit in return. Unfortunately, we have all seen this happen in one form or another. It is sad and depressing for me to see things like that happen.

As you said, it is a 2-way street.

.....butter her bread, that always impresses the ladies. I have told that to lots of guys and it seems to work, so maybe it will work for you. Its such a little thing, but it says a lot. And listen to her more than you talk, thats real important, and make direct eye contact with her, lady's like the direct approach. Also ask her if she likes horses, never met a woman who did not like hoses and horseback riding.
Also compliment her on something, anything, but compliment her, women appreciate the compliments. and here is the big one, ask her to tell you about her dad. Bingo, your in luck now, women love to talk about their dads, took me years to figure that one out, special bond going on there.
And if you drive to the restaurant, make sure its at least a 50 min drive, then you can talk a lot without looking at each other, thats another trick, and valet parking always impresses the ladies, so go to a nice place and on the second date, buy her a rose. A single red rose.
Women know what that means, its like a secret sign between females, but it works. And if you go to a movie, buy her chocolate bon bons, they never buy it for themselves so it is a big treat. Oh, there are other things that impress the ladies but try these first. Good luck.

Pay off your date's credit card bills.
Lick all of the utensils at dinner to make sure no offensive dishtowel lint clings to them.
Have ten little pictures of your date made at 1/4" wide, then glue them to your fingernails where they can be glimpsed at dinner.
Pre-open all of the little paper sugar or creamer packets that may be on the table.
Show manliness by offering to kill & cook all animals seen when on the date.
