I was raised with her being that my mother was an MaBell employee before I was born until she retired just before the breakup of Bell systems and AT&T, in 1983. How many of us remember seeing Dr. Frank Baxter and his colleague (whom I forget his name) with those Bell Science Films that came out in the mid 50's to early 60's. A conspiracy theory site created by the guys at Anti-Social to explain how prominent black figures such as Bill Cosby, Oprah Winfrey, and Al Sharpton intimidated Dave Chappelle so he would stop making his show which paints a negative image of blacks in America. Originally put up without a disclaimer stating that the site was a joke. While a good portion of his comments pertain to his Dallas basketball team the blog is named after, Cuban does not pass up the opportunity to whine at length about how much better d-cinema will be (specifically taking on the New York Times, whose columnist had the courage to say in a recent article that 35mm film is better). When I was in Jr High, I used to get those Bell Films (and many others) "free" in 16mm from the library and showed them to my very patient (AND I now realize very bored, but polite) parents and friends. A few years ago, I got the VHS tapes of that 4 film series. Now, I think they are available on DVD. Anyway, about 10-15 years ago, I worked with Frank Capra Jr. on a project and I was very surprised to learn that those Bell films were done by his dad.
