The best drink is the "Screwdriver." You get your vitamin C from the OJ, and the vodka doesn't give you booze-breath.

Oh, another favorite, especially when you add a bit of Milk of Magnesia to it.

'Possibly dull' I'll put my hands up to, but given that I haven't even been married once, I'd say he was a bit wide of the mark on this one. Maybe it's a US/UK cultural thing; but I don't really fit the British gin drinking stereotype (over 50, works in financial services, pretty well off but not a millionaire, probably plays golf - think Denis Thatcher), either.

I also like pink gins and am heterosexual, thereby defying another stereotype!

Rum and Coke....a friend of mine has a little female Cocker-Spaniel (actually his wife and daughter's dog) that it absolutely hooked on the stuff!

About Vodka, check out this web site and look at the "blind" taste-test that was conducted on the tv news show "20-20". I saw that episod and it was quite funny! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vodka

Another halarious "blind" taste-test I saw dealt with teenagers! A large group of teens thought that they would outsmart their parents and have a large party with alcohol present. Anyhow, the parents actually set the kids up and with the aid of school/law officials and alcohol suppliers, replaced the kids beer with non-alcoholic beer. Well, during the party, the kids were getting wild and acting like they were really getting drunk...with the whole thing cought on film! Then the kids were busted, and admitted to being totally smashed! They could not believe it when they were informed that they were in fact sober!

I think the same syndrome is at work with these 'alcopop' things - teenagers want to get drunk for the (perceived) kudos, but are too young to like the taste of conventional alcoholic drinks. The drinks industry has a lot to answer for over those things, IMHO.
