Seriously guys, do you like standing in your own piss while you wait for it to swirl around the bottom of the shower and make it's way to the drain? Is it that hard to take care of business before or after the showering process? Apparently I'm in the minority on this one.
After doing some net research, I found two beneficial claims about peeing in the shower:

1. It supposedly kills foot fungus (not that there's an epidemic of this in everyone's tub).

2. It conserves water you would normally waste flushing the toilet, since you're already using the shower for cleaning yourself.

That's what toilets are for.

quote: Thomas Hauerslev
In 1994 I visited San Francisco on a 70mm Promotion Tour and enjoyed the city. Did the usual visits to projection rooms with DP70s. The strangest thing was at the "Regency" (DP70 SN: 2356), I think the name was. There was a toilet right there - in the projection room - next to the projector.

Was that a toilet with projectors or a projection room with a toilet? Very convenient if you have to go and keep an eye on changeovers at the same time.

Even stranger was the projectionist, who was dressed up as a woman - long hair and everything. What a bizzare experience.

The combined toilet/projection facility - is that common in the US?

As far as having toilet facilities in the projection room, AFAIK, some building and fire codes required it, especially in the days of nitrate film when a skilled projectionist had to be present in the projection room at all times that film was running.

There's an old saying: "Clothes do not make the man (or the woman)".

I thought Europe was much more progressive in this regard. I'm visiting Germany next week, and a colleague visiting there had the experience of having a female attendant hand him a towel after he had washed his hands in the restroom. In Finland, I entered an airport restroom to find a woman maintenance person working on the plumbing -- she said to come in anyway, and went about her business as I did mine.

I think most try to aim for the drain. But even if you had to stand in your own piss (gross!) there probably wouldn't be any harm in it. Urine is sterile -at least from people in good health.

Another possible justification for peeing in the shower: morning wood. You can stand in front of the toilet waiting for however long it takes for the steel boner of fury to subside just enough so you can aim it at the bowl instead of the wall. It's easier to stand near the back of the tub and arc a stream into the drain.

No wonder there is so much chlorine in public swimming pools!
I don't pee in swimming pools, but did it once at a public swimming pool when I was 4 years old. True story. A great deal of the family was there. I paddled over to my Uncle John and told him I needed to use to bathroom. He replied, "do it in the pool, everyone else does." So I climbed up the ladder, walked over and stood next to the edge, dropped my trunks and pissed right into the pool.

It's a good thing I didn't have to take a dump!

As for "#3", water is a horrible lubricant. I've tried to have sex in the shower a few times and it does not work well at all.
I wasn't talking about "going #3" with a female. Think American Beauty and Lester Burnham, "this will be the highlight of my day."

Well, I have on occasion - there's a drain there, and it's not like I won't be washing my feet anyway.

As for whizzing outside - I've got no qualms about that. In fact, I find it rather liberating.
Guys may have an easier time with aiming, but it's not impossible for us girls. [Big Grin]

He yelled back "No Ma I gotta do # 2!!" She yelled back "Dats Ok, Just shuck down your suit & do it!". I could tell by the look on the kids face that He was dropping a duece right there where He stood in the water! I ran out on to the Beach & have NEVER set foot in Lake Michigan since. Man, THAT was SICK!! [puke]

Ewww, Fred. Sort of reminds me of the pool scene in "Caddyshack."

quote: Brad Miller
I'm surprised Mike Olpin hasn't come along to remind us all that "all drains lead to the ocean".
In San Diego County, only storm drains lead directly to the Pacific Ocean, not municipal sewer lines. When (and if) it rains, the runoff carries along a toxic stew of motor oil, tire dust, cigarette butts, animal waste, and Lord knows what else. No wonder beaches are closed to surfers and swimmers after a rainstorm. [puke]

Raw sewage is processed before discharging into the ocean, unless a pump failure occurs. Some of the "refined" sewage is purified to a level suitable for landscape irrigation for commercial users like golf courses and university campuses; to distinguish the so-called "reclaimed water" supply from potable water, plumbing systems and sprinkler heads must be color-coded lavender and "do not drink" signs must be posted.

Some time ago there was a push to process and ultra-purify "reclaimed water" to feed back into the regular city water system. The idea that tomorrow's drinking water once included yesterday's #1s and #2s was so off-putting that the idea was deservedly dubbed "toilet-to-tap" by its critics. Even though researchers proved toilet-to-tap water is safe, the repugnance factor has stalled its implementation.

There was an old rumor (that I can't confirm because it was before my time) that Mel Gibson peed in the hand sink in the booth at the theatre I worked at in Arizona after a public test screening of Braveheart. The theatre doesn't have any employee restrooms, and Gibson didn't want to get mobbed in the public restroom, I guess. Anyway, a few years later Gibson guest voiced an episode of the Simpsons (the Mr. Smith goes to Washington episode) where Gibson is test screening his new movie and he trys to sneak out the back door to pee in the alley. Coincidence?

Don't pee in the shower. Never have, never will. Why stand in my pee when I can just use the toilet?

A Female contributor to the joke forum asked that I post her feelings about Showers in this thread. If you read the joke forum you will recognize Diane from Reno.

How To Shower Like a Woman:*

Take off clothing and place it in sectioned laundry hamper according to lights and darks. Walk to bathroom wearing long dressing gown. If you see husband along the way, cover up any exposed areas.> Look at your womanly physique in the mirror - make mental note to do more sit-ups/leg-lifts, etc. Get in the shower. Use face cloth, arm cloth, leg cloth, long loofah, wide loofah and pumice stone. Wash your hair once with cucumber and sage shampoo with 43 added vitamins. Wash your hair again to make sure it's clean. Condition your hair with grapefruit mint conditioner enhanced. Wash your face with crushed apricot facial scrub for 10 minutes until red. Wash entire rest of body with ginger nut and jaffa cake body wash. Rinse conditioner off hair. Shave armpits and legs. Turn off shower. Squeegee off all wet surfaces in shower. Spray mold spots with Tilex. Get out of shower. Dry with towel the size of a small country. Wrap hair in super absorbent towel. Return to bedroom wearing long dressing gown and towel on head. If you see husband along the way, cover up any exposed areas.

*How To Shower Like a Man:*

Take off clothes while sitting on the edge of the bed and leave them in a pile. Walk naked to the bathroom. If you see wife along the way, shake wiener at her making the 'woo-woo' sound. Look at your manly physique in the mirror.> Admire your wiener and scratch your butt. Get in the shower.> Wash your face. Wash your armpits.> Blow your nose in your hands and let the water rinse them off. Fart and laugh at how loud it sounds in the shower. Spend majority of time washing privates and surrounding area. Wash your butt, leaving those coarse butt hairs stuck on the soap.> Wash your hair. Make a Shampoo Mohawk. Pee. Rinse off and get out of shower. Partially dry off. Fail to notice water on floor because curtain was hanging out of tub the whole time. Admire wiener in mirror again. Leave shower curtain open, wet mat on floor, light and fan on. Return to bedroom with towel around waist. If you pass wife, pull off towel, shake wiener at her and make the 'woo-woo' sound again. Throw wet towel on bed.

*If there is anyone among you who did not laugh at the truth behind this, there is something so very wrong with you.*
*Have a great day! And, "woo, woo"!* [Big Grin]

Hmmm, so Thomas, I take it you have ***PERSONAL*** knowledge and have ***personally*** confirmed the projectionist was a guy and not a "female" as you implied? Hubba Hubba! Email me pics! [evil]

In case you didn't know, there are plenty of female projectionists here in the US... yes even waaaay back in the 1990's.

Not sure why that upset yous all so much. Keep in mind that all sea life like fish, as well as water fowl, and water mammals as well as land animals taking a "bath" piss and crap in the water. [uhoh]

In the great lakes as well as the oceans and seas, most if not all water vessels dump all their raw human waste (piss & shit) directly over the side including food garbage and trash. It's common practice. [Eek!]

It's all called "nutrients" for the sealife. [thumbsup]

Think about that the next time you're having that fish dinner...you may be eating a fish that ate someone's turd. (YUK!) [puke]

Hmmmm, while I didn't see that post, I heard about it in email from several whiners. I find it just as RUDE to anonymously delete a post and say that this "rude" post was removed by God knows who (whom?). At least have the balls to say who removed it...oh, and "why" would be nice too!

My understanding is that post was not personal, but a general "negative" comment. As long as a post is not a specific personal attack, I'd prefer to let those types of posts remain and let the poster take whatever heat they deserve. [thumbsup] ...just my 2-cents. [sleep]

BTW: I ALWAYS pee in the shower whether I'm in it or not. I'm remodeling my place and have NO toilets in any of the bathrooms. [beer] ...nuff said!
