Ian, you missed another 6" of snow this morning with up to another 4" predicted today. You could have stayed and enjoyed it again this morning along with your usual double cappuccino. Chicken!

Even at our 8750' altitude, this is more than a bit unusual for September. Sad to say the Telluride ski area doesn't open until just over two months from now. But moisture never is wasted here as we're only 35 miles from the desert. We'll melt it and send it down to you flat-landers.

It's now snowing harder than ever! Bring it on!

That storm is headed east and there were quite a few tornados last night in the Mid-West. Accuweather reports that there were at least 36 tornados, and 95 reports of hail.

Looks to be headed through Central Ohio late today and tonight. A bit concerned as Ohio State plays Penn State here this afternoon, and that is when things could get rough. The stadium holds over 100,000, and it, as always, will be packed. Usually about 50,000 more folks just hang around the outside at various activities. Wouldn't want to be around there if a severe thunderstorm hit! The flag poles at the top of the stadium would sure make dandy lightning rods!

More (9:24pm): Well, most of the ugly weather went south of us. There was a bit of rain during the game, but not enough to ruin things. I doubt anyone left..it was a good game. Looks like one small squall line coming through with the front later tonight, but that is about it. Glad it didn't get bad.
