Paul: Scott you have to get the film footage transfered at 24 frames with a 3:2 pull down at your transfer house/lab. A transfer to Minidv will do. Regarding a neg cut list you need to use cinema tools (it comes with the Final Cut Pro package)I'm not sure what other programs will give you a neg cut list, maybe Avid. When using a DAT to sync up picture...capture the DAT sound like normal into the editing program then modify its speed to 99.9 % that should solve your drift problem. If your doing short takes you might not even notice and sync issues. I hope you used a clapper I would recommend editing on a non-linear system... because editing mag sound on a flatbed sucks! I cut a 50 min 16mm film one time all by hand..and sound is always the downfall. Cheers, Paul  |  IP: Logged
