There is no evidence that it is any more deadly than the normal flu. It's not a big deal. If it had been called h1n1 or whatever from the beginning nobody would care but call it "Swine Flu" and everybody panics. Comparisons to 1918 flus and things are pointless. I think that health care has improved a little since 1918. People died of all kinds of diseases back then that we can cure now. Bottom line is to prevent getting this and other germs the best thing you can do is wash your hands often especially prior to activity that involves eating or touching your mouth or near your eyes and nose. Boys and girls, "we have seen the (swine flu) and it is us." We've been down this road before. Anyone remember the swine flu scare in the early to mid 70s? This was probably one of my earliest realizations that the media gets off trying to scare people. I still have old airchecks of Gary Burbank (real name: William Purser, a guy who made a career of stealing Gary Owen's act) on WHAS doing bits about it.
