quote: Andy Bajew The whole bakery.
But, which would she eat first? Cake or pie? (If she eats a cookie, that counts as "cake." Right? )
For the die-hard pie lovers: Don't forget things like Pflaumenkuchen, Apfelkucken, Kirschetorte. (German plum cake, apple cake and cherry torte.) You can have fruit in your dessert as easily as you can with pie.
Furthermore, you can have fruit ON TOP OF your cake as well as inside. How about a chocolate cake with cherry topping? Strawberries too! You've got your cake, your icing, your fruit, your ice cream, and, to top it all off, a dollop of whipped cream if you want it!
Oh! Yeah! What about birthdays? You can't forget about birthday cakes! Whoever heard of a birthday PIE?
Your fiancé would have walked out on you if you ordered a wedding PIE! Wouldn't she?
Then there's Marie Antoinette. "Let them eat PIE?" It doesn't make sense, mon ami!
Cake has everything except one thing: You can't have your cake and eat it too. Then, again, you can't have your pie and eat it too but nobody would ever say that. It sounds lame.
