My favorite stations, however, are on XM: The Boneyard and Octane. These are by far the greatest stations I've ever heard. (Made a lot of money on stock as well.) Not as good now with the Sirius. And I won't invest. Still better than AM or FM. Also good for legal music in commercial operations like cinemas. Wife listens to internet radio. Currently Radio Styermark from Austria(oldies, Austrian traditional music, voiced in German which I do not speak so I don't notice the talk. I'll give WLW props too. Mike McConnell and Bill Cunningham can be amusing, especially when the local sports teams are losing. WLW is one of the very few terrestrial stations I listen to anymore. Registered: Dec 1999 posted 04-13-2010 07:58 PM                     I bought off eBay years ago some records made by KGIL in L.A. for the Pacific Drive-In Theatre chain. The records had two 10-minute tracks on each side but the two tracks were not connected with the same groove. The first track was pre-show and the second was to be played at intermission. It had DJ's of the time telling you about drive-in rules and to remember to listen to KGIL as well as lots of music from the era. I have about 14 of these and the dates are from 1957 to 1968 from memory. It's nice to see that KGIL 1260 have gone back to that style of music and programming. That'd be a fun listen. I used to help out at our local drive-in. They sold Coke products so we would get cassette tapes of music with Coke commercials... like Movie Tunes but much better music. What was the name of the DI? All I have off Google Earth on Montana is Libby, Sunset, Silver Bow Twin, Midway and Westernaire Drive-Ins. It closed after the 1979 season and a restaurant was built there, which eventually went out of business. A funeral home, a car repair shop, an apartment building and a motel are on the property now.  |  IP: Logged
