The company had a decent logo, but nearly all of those Golan-Globus Productions were absolute . AVCO Embassy when AVCO Financial bought out Embassy Pictures (Embassy was the company that released "The Graduate" in 1967) Cinerama Releasing Corp United Artists - Entertainment from the TransAmerica Corporation Earliest time that I saw this new UA trademark was on the 1968 release "Yellow Submarine". I feel nostalgic everytime I watch the old CIC fanfare. Invariably reminds me of Raiders of the Lost Ark when I was 11. Cinema International Corporation And when it comes to theater circuits fanfares, my all-time favourite is the Odeon fanfare from the mid/late 1980's (Rank Odeon in the UK, not Cineplex Odeon). Now, don't forget when Universal had fun with their logo on Waterworld and The Burbs. (No fanfare with either of those, however.) Here's a link to the Paramount Home Video logo I referred to earlier. And, of course, let's not forget the fun with the Paramount logo at the start of the Indiana Jones movies. (And, again, no fanfare.) And these variations from Fox (no fanfare): The Cannonball Run Edward Scissorhands Aaron -- that Warner Bros. music (from your earlier post) is the music I was referring to when I posted about "Gremlins" -- that fanfare goes back to (at least) the 40s -- they didn't have the animated logo back when "Gremlins" came out -- I think they had just returned to the "shield in the sky" logo -- after ditching the "W in a box" logo from the early 80's -- so, from the video link in your post, it looks like they *did* use it again some time after "Gremlins."  |  IP: Logged Ken Lackner Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1907 From: Atlanta, GA, USA Registered: Sep 2001 posted 06-24-2011 08:10 PM                     I watch Mr. Popper's Penguins this evening, and I did not notice any problems with the volume during the Fox logo.  |  IP: Logged Manny Knowles "What are these things and WHY are they BLUE???" Another example of the Fox fanfare blending into the movie. (There was another version with the chain elements in a kind of metal look on dark background, but in my memory it had no music). I'd like to know the composer, and whether it was specially written for CIC, taken from an existing score or just library music.  |  IP: Logged
