    Nuremberg 2025

Visited the Cinelux Capitola CA Cinema near Santa Cruz CA on Wed Nov 12 to see 'Nuremberg' shown on one of the largest semi curved screens in the area auditorium Film-Tech Cinema Systems Great color and stereo surround sound. The 'Capitola' had a nice crowd of mostly older seniors that brought back memories of this time. Many sat in their seats long after the movie ended and had tears in their eyes and did not move.

This new movie was a great history lesson for me and my film group. So much information I did not know from this famous trial in Nuremberg Germany on November 20 1945.

I predict this new film will get the 'Oscar' award both for best film, best actor, supporting actor, screenplay and director. Russel Crowe,Rami Malek along with a newcomer for us was Leo Woodall did a over the top job filming this tragic time in history

We liked the old 1.33 b&w footage mixed in at times from newsreel footage taken during the Nuremberg trials. Looked great on the wide Capitola CinemaScope type screen. So many small theatres these day just have a big square screen and just show white screen strips at the top and bottom for scope movies and worst with no moving masking. So nice to still have a local cinema that the screen is wide and semi curved.

This will be a word of mouth film especially with older adults. Younger people mostly have no idea what took place in Nuremberg. Will have to watch now the old movie 'Judgement At Nuremberg' and see the new Nuremberg movie again on the wide screen.

    lol)

Yes, "Judgement At Nuremberg" (1961) is worth a watch, with an all
    "A-List" cast. I ran a great 16mm print for a local film-club about a decade
ago,and it was one of the rare times that I got more absorbed in the movie
    than in doing my work.

This new Nuremberg movie is really topical for current events, given how our military is blowing up a bunch of fishing boats off the coast of Venezuela and trying to hide evidence of the extrajudicial actions.
