    Kinema Presentation

I have been ask to look into using the browser based Kinema Offline Cinema Player system for a special audio/visual sourced program presentation into a Barco DCP. Has anyone experience with the Kinema(dot)com Offline Cinema Player?

    Thank you, Paul Finn

There seem to be a number of hoops to jump through. I found mention of their "Offline Kinema Player for Hosts" in their FAQ. I would expect one has to register as a host to get access to that?

Google's AI result found this walkthrough video that Kinema has up:

    And provided this description:

To download and use the Kinema Offline Player, you need to get it through a specific film event hosted on the Kinema platform; it's a secure app for hosts/viewers to download films for offline screening, often tied to a virtual festival or screening window, not a general public app you just download from a store. You access it after registering for a Kinema event, then download the file to watch securely without internet, usually within a set time frame.
    How it Works (General Steps):
    1. Find a Kinema Event: You'll usually find a link or instructions from a film festival, distributor, or filmmaker using Kinema.
    2. Register/Purchase Access: Sign up or buy tickets for the specific film screening.
    3. Get the Player: The platform provides access to the special Kinema Player app or direct download link for your device (computer/mobile).
    4. Download the Film: Use the player to securely download the movie file while connected to the internet.
    5. Watch Offline: Play the film within the designated time window (e.g., 24-72 hours before/after an event) without an internet connection.
I was hopeful they just had an AppleTV app, but they seem to be doing a computer app based system for venues.

We did a rental show with it last month, it was a nuisance but it worked. Access to the file to test was a bit last minute for our taste. Our renter made the arrangements so we were just given the link. We had the option to download rather than stream which we used.
