If the service door temper error persists for no reason, it is best to re-seat the CCB.

The Series 2 Barco backplane uses photoelectric sensors above the PCI receptacles for tamper detection, and so if the faceplates of the cards do not form a light tight seal, there will be a tamper error that won't clear. As we all know, those backplanes fail frequently, though I can't remember encountering that specific failure mode (the tamper sensors).

My inclination would be to rule out the absence of a valid device manager entry for the projector in the IMS3000 as a first step. We know that its boot flash drive was replaced and that this was when the trouble started. We also know that doing this will erase that configuration, and that it needs to be put back before the IMS3000 can be married to the projector.

It's entirely possible that removing and reseating the IMS3000 could either have caused damage to the backplane, and/or that the cards simply weren't reseated such that the light tight seal was achieved. But if it hasn't been already, my suggestion would be to check the device manager possibility first, because this can be done without pulling cards and thereby risking damage to a backplane that is currently OK.
