There was a Kurt Russel movie called The Best Of Times that also starred Robin Williams. It was about a reunion of the football team that lost the big game because Robin Williams dropped the ball. I don't know if this is the one you are talking about or not.

"Heat" was shot at the closed Centinella Drive-in in Los Angeles.

"The Thief Who Came To Dinner" with Ryan O'Neil featured drive-in scenes.

"Proof" was shot at the Village Coburg Drive-in in Melbourne, Australia.

"Alvin Rides Again" was shot at the Village Rowville drive-in in Melbourne, Australia.

"Melvin Son Of Alvin" was shot at the Village Northland Twin in Melbourne Australia the car chase knocked over several posts that were out of action for a few nights!

"Thunderbolt and Lightfoot" probably the best Clint Eastwood film made, also with Jeff Bridges and George Kennedy had a drive-in scene where they hid out after the robbery. They hid in the boot (trunk) and were caught out! The film was mostly shot in Montana, anyone know what drive-in this was?

That movie "Cinema Paradiso" was by far the best foreign film I ever saw. I recall no other movie where the audience was crying like a bunch of babies. It even got a tear jerked out of my eye, too. Someone told me that a person who sees that movie and shows absolutely no emotion has to be one cold SOB. I have to agree with that assessment.
