We haven`t heard anything about the mysterious DTS sync problem in a while. But I am still curious. So, any new insights? So, the problem is not solved, but I'm gonna have another crack at it when we get another DTS film. I did ask all on this forum: How can one count frames on a Christie P35GPS? Is there anywhere I gan get a frame-passing signal, that I can pass to a sub-circuit that does the counting? Anyone know this? Or do I have to start a new thread?  |  IP: Logged Lewis Bohannon Film Handler Posts: 6 From: Stow, MA, USA Registered: Jul 2002 posted 08-02-2002 02:14 AM                     I read on one of the first few pages that someone had a problem with 2 penthouse readers on the same projector. It has happened in mine as well. DTS on top, followed by SDDS. The two systems would fight for priority, causing very bad synch problems. The only cure was to turn one(SDDS)off, and run the other. But like Karen said, you still need to lace the other reader to maintain frame count. A suggestion on how to count frames, why not lace up a length of leader through the projector, then mark the appropiate frames, unlace it then count them that way...
