The available time slots for committee meetings were quite full. The Inter-Society and SMPTE had to negotiate splitting that early Wednesday morning time slot, and that pushed the Inter-Society to such an early hour. I assume the Cyan Dye Track times were likewise constrained, and unfortunately forced into the afternoon.
