Wednesday, October 1 has quite a few meetings related to technology:

Inter-Society Committee for the Enhancement of Cinema Presentation, 7:30am

SMPTE Theatrical Projection Committee, ~9:00am

Cyan Dye Track Committee, 2:30pm

All in the New York conference room at the Marriott.

Why is the dye meeting right in the middle of the trade show hours?

The available time slots for committee meetings were quite full. The Inter-Society and SMPTE had to negotiate splitting that early Wednesday morning time slot, and that pushed the Inter-Society to such an early hour. I assume the Cyan Dye Track times were likewise constrained, and unfortunately forced into the afternoon. Don't forget that they are also trying to have good representation from distribution as well as vendors exhibiting in the trade show, and those schedules may be in conflict.
