Panavision wants to see 32ft lamberts with no less than 75% on the sides. They said the MINIMUM they would do it would be 27. I'm assuming T3D would be fairly close.

Is this BEFORE the polarizer and glasses? Most 3D specs are now read THROUGH the glasses.

It isn't really hard to hit those high numbers on a silver screen. If you had 16fL on a Matte White...just adding the silver screen kicks you up to 37fL if you are reading before the polarizer and glasses. The reason for the high spec is because the efficiency of polarized 3D...especially circular polarized is so poor. You are down to less than 20%, typically. So even with the 32fL spec...yields a net of something closer to 6fL.

For Dolby 3D...we spec not less than 50fL before the filter/glasses and prefer to have yet more headroom because that is only 10% efficient (at best).

These numbers are before any polarizers or filters. No silver screen needed with Panavision3D.
