When I don't work there anymore, hopefully some time soon, I won't be there to do things like diagnose and fix bad amplifiers. So, if I wasn't there, that amplifier would have been left to its own devices. It would go up in smoke, blow out the speaker or both. Looking at it realistically, it doesn't matter whether I'm there to stop it or not. Last time I had a job where they didn't give a shit about any efforts to help them or save them money, I quit and started my own company. I was once told "that I had outclassed my customer base!" If so this is a dangerous condition, since you care more than the people who should care, the owners (managers.)
