The only issue I have with SMPTE is that sony projectors/servers need to "verify" the content once before it can be screened, this is a manual process and is a pain.

If it's a manual process for you then you're not on the latest software.
Also what you said is only necessary for the LMT-200/300 series, the XCT-S19 does it automatically.
