Whatever happened to Regal's "Theatre Radio Network"? IIRC, this was around 1999-2000. I liked TRN because they actualy played the FULL song, no annoying announcer to tell me the name of the song I just heard, (whose title ironically is usually the phrase most-repeated in the song) and there was no "end" since it was MEANT to be played on repeat.
It seems every theater around here, (Regal, Carmike, AMC) is using the Movie Tunes. And at each theater, good ol'e Chris tells us that the program has been "Specially tailored for this theatre" when they play the SAME DAMN SONGS for every circuit! If it was REALLY "specially" made for each theater, then they should play music based on the type of location and demographics, right? Or at least one would assume... Lawsuit anyone?
