Dew flavors by secretly replacing some of the sugar with sucralose and other artificial sweeteners. Somehow they think that this won't be noticeable. However, anybody with taste buds will immediately notice the chemical aftertaste. It's bad enough that they've introduced new flavors using this recipe (most recently Dew S.A.). It is even worse when they take a good flavor (Game Fuel Citrus Cherry) and re-release it with artificial sweeteners mixed in. If I want diet soda I'll buy diet soda. Note to soft drink makers: The nanny state people aren't going to like you any better because you slightly reduced the calories. Stop making hybrid diet/regular sodas. If you are going to do it, be upfront about it. Artificial sweeteners, at least when used in drinks, taste NOTHING like sugar or high fructose corn syrup. Tried it for the first time this week. Really enjoy the Sprite and I rarely drink soda. I'm pretty sure if this doesn't fly into their faces and people keep buying the stuff, they'll do the same in many other markets. And as a regular traveler between HFCS and real sugar markets, I totally agree with the following statement: HFCS sucks like a super massive black hole on super massive steroids.  |  IP: Logged
