One of our guys (now 60 years old) started work in his first projection room at the age of 15. He had to have a letter from his parents to allow him to be in the building when 18 rated films were shown. Not sure if he had to close his eyes as he passed the porthole so that his poor innocent mind wouldn't be corrupted by 1956 sex and violence

If your fellow projectionist is 60 now, in 1956 he was watching porno on 16mm film in the basement of his friends houses. At least if he lived in the Bronx that's what he would have done. Oh, the memories.........
