Lately if I break down a show, I'll leave the previews attached if there is room for them on the reel. If not, I'll stuff them in film cans as buffers if there is room for that, too. I am overwhelmed with hundreds of obsolete previews. Just protect the trailers by winding them well on a core, and enclosing them in a plastic bag for protection from dirt. (I've often thought using a vacuum "seal-a-meal" bag would be a great way to keep the roll tight and clean): http://www.rivco.com/support_files/sealameal.asp Kodak packages large rolls of print film raw stock in vacuum sealed foil bags with great success. If the trailer distributor provides a specified return method (e.g., prepaid packaging), it should be used. But in the USA, I know that TES (Brad Carroll) was definitely trying to recycle used trailers to theatres that need them. If anything, returning the trailers to the film exchange will help assure they end up being recycled into new film base rather than going into a landfill: FPC Film Salvage Kodak Recycling Recycling  |  IP: Logged
