Sorry about the masking challenge. Actually, my hair is not really that curly. I think it is just the combination of the hair gel and the "extract" background feature in Adobe Photoshop that made it look a little more rough (and curly) than it realy is.

And maybe we can see Joe morph that one.

If you adjust how your palette indexes colors, you can get decent results on a photo with a narrow range of colors. Here's your original jpeg file ...

And here's a gif indexed to 256 perceptual colors with no dithering.

You lose some of your colors when animating if the frames don't have a very close color range. But then, you wouldn't be able to have any fun.

I had to go into PREFERENCES and turn "Animate GIFs" back on just to see that. Some pics do better with 256 colors than others. The "Bobby" pic really doesn't have many colors. But the "Andrew" has more as do a few others. Either way I prefer JPEG and there really is no reason to use GIFs. The only reason to use a GIF is transparency like the "Film-Tech Forums" graphic I created at the top of the page and the emoticons. But for photographs? Nah.

Your days are definitely numbered. Why? I dunno. Just for fun.

Bring on the pics! We'll make one big, long movie of Joe morphing into everybody if you want!

Greg... the morph program is more of a "stretch and dissolve" program, not a true morph program. I've created a few morphs with about 50 different targets each, and it's still pretty funky!
