Bob,

For the younger set....the best film to use as an example is

_Young Frankenstein_

Marty played the perfect I-Gore.

There was some Universal film he played in where they used the old Universal logo with the letters going around the planet...Marty would come on stage and take the letters off one at a time with a look at the audience of "see what I have to do" or something.

"Young Frankenstein" definitely had one of Marty Feldman's funniest performances. The gag with the skulls on the shelves showing how long they have been dead, such as 10 years dead, 1 year dead, and then him poking his head into the slot "recently dead" was a riot. He was really funny in Mel Brooks' "Silent Movie."

I should have added, I did this weird photo in reaction to the Avs nerve racking victory. Peter Forsberg got hit so hard in a previous playoff round against the L.A. Kings that his spleen was ruptured. Friends were giving me hell about that (particularly since I have a NHL regulation Peter Forsberg jersey). Everybody thought that was it for the Avs then, but they rolled on through the semi-finals and into the Cup finals against the favored New Jersey Devils. The Avs came back against some serious odds with guys Joe Sakic, Ray Bourque and 3-time Conn/Smythe trophy winner Patrick Roy. Having to win the last two games in a row just made me nervous as hell. I was really happy to see them win.

Marty Feldman was simply amazing.

As well as his comedy acting and unique singing voice he wrote some of the best radio comedy shows of the 1960's such as Round The Horne.

Oh by the way for those of you that don't know radio is TV with the brightness turned right down

The way the Pat& Mike routine used to go in the US between TV & radio engineers was:

"You know what radio is, don't you? Broken TV."

"Television gives you cancer."

The two groups did not mix well.

I *really* enjoyed Feldman's "The Last Remake of Beau Geste".
It looked good in the theater, too.

Wow, I'm surprised anyone noticed that reload trick so fast. All I can say is beware of what Joe will do next. But even more importantly, those of you who haven't yet sent in your picture, beware of what Joe will do next! Send in your picture quick.

My current picture was taken last night with me holding the camera with my left hand (and a slight crop utilized for composition). No, the youthful appearance is not the FilmGuard at work, that's something else I've been working on. I'm 31 and counting.

Marty Feldman is great in Young Frankenstein, but my favorite line from the movie is:

Frankenstein (looking at huge castle doors): "What knockers!!"

Inga (embarassed): "Thank you, Doctor."

And of course the scene where Igor won't let Frankenstein out of the room after he locks himself in with the monster. Classic!
